A male Lobi sculpture of fragmentary form, with a threeparted comblike coiffure and partly encirceled eyes; partly encrusted.
One prominent example is a fragmentary female Lobi sculpture that has been described as a "Lobi-figure with glasses." This piece is notable for its slender torso, globular head, and stylized facial features, including partly encircled eyes and horseshoe-like ears. The sculpture exhibits a heavy hardwood composition, resulting from an oxidation process over many decades, and shows remnants of encrustations, possibly from prolonged ritual use. It is believed to have been placed on a shrine alongside other sculptures, indicating its role in spiritual practices. wolfgang-jaenicke
The term "Lobi-figure with glasses" was notably discussed in the publication Lobi Statuary by Keller and Katsouros in 2014, specifically on page 63, highlighting this unique stylistic feature within Lobi art. wolfgang-jaenicke
