A male Hemba sculpture, Zaire, standing on a wooden base, large flat feet, knees slightly bent, protruding navel, hands on stomach, wide angular shoulder, a thin cylindric neck carrying the beautiful carved head, typical of Luba style, with a short beard, curious nose, half closed eyes, and the cross like shaped hair doe; large cracks on the base, cracks through out, signs of use.
