A Baule mask, Ivory Coast, of hollowed oval form, with a broad rim, a protruding slightly open mouth beneath a slender nose, pierced slit eyes, thick brows, scarification marks on the forehead, small ears are set far up and hemispherical shape, the head capped by a striated domed three-parted coiffure, the rim pierced through for the attachment, brown to blackened patina, traces of age and ritual use, several cracks, incl. stand.
