A Baule Bronze couple

A Baule Bronze couple found in the ground of an abonened house South-East of Bouaké man and woman seated on stools of the regional style, holding in their hands the Akan-style regalia of the Baule nobleman, man and woman with louncloths and necklaces, the woman with the traditional coiffure of the 18 - 19 century hairstyle of a high ranking personality, the man wearing a stylized goatee; various coloured patina, greenish, occre up to orange, with remnants of encrusted earth. Similar, high aged Baule sculptures we couldn´t find in literature.
