A Bamana couple, Kondoron Soné and Simbo Dozo Ba, collected in Tarokiena village, region de Dora, ca 60 km from Segou on the other side of the river; high aged with longlasting ritual use.
Simbo is a common Mande name. The title Dozo indicates a hunter, often associated with traditional initiation societies and esoteric knowledge. Ba means "big" or "senior" in Bamanankan, so Simbo Dozo Ba could be translated as "Simbo, the senior hunter".
