Female Senufo sculpture, Ivory Coast, seated on a four-legged stool, with relatively short legs leading to a prominent buttock, a projecting tapering torso with protruding navel surrounded by ornamental scarification marks, conical shaped breasts directed to the front, rounded shoulders with angled arms, the hands resting on the upper legs, a bracelet around both upper arms, notched back line down to the buttocks, an oval head with protruding oval big mouth with two rows of teeth, a straight nose with broad nostrils, almond-shaped eyes, the ears worked as half circles, scarification marks at the temples as well as at the navel and the breasts, the head crowned with a crested coiffure; dark patina with few signs of age.
