A Guro mask

A Guro mask from the Bouaflé region, probably by the so-called Master of Bouaflé, whose stylistic features are also united in this mask, such as a curved profile line, convex from the tip of the nose to the root and concave the domed forehead to the decorated hairline, which is divided into three with carefully braided hair and is reminiscent of elaborate crochet work. Above this, a couple, man and woman, again with an object on their heads, crowns the hairstyle. Crescent-shaped mouth and crescent-shaped eye slits with diagonally arranged brows above, delicate lipless also curved like a crescent, dark patina.
