A female fragmentary Lobi figure, Burkina Faso, standing on wedge-like feet and slightly bent legs, the genitalia emphasized, a columnar torso, the fragmentary arms carved close to the body, the strong cylindrical neck surmounted by an oval head with a forward-projecting lower jaw, a pointed mouth, beneath a curved nose, framed by bulging eyes, which are deep set; heavy wood, encrusted brown aged patina with traces of kaolin, several cracks, partly eroded.
