A female Dogon from Sogou village, Sangha region carved in a very stylized way of depicting the female body, with short bent legs, an emphasis on the abdomen in the form of a rhombus, which could indicate pregnancy, the arms with large hands close below it, the shoulders consist of a circle on which a rare form of the neck emerges. On the whole, this is an elegant oblong sculpture, the head with fine features, though marked by age and weathering; encrusted patina with age cracks due to drying out of the type of wood Yirkou (Dogon dialect).
