A Baule figure, Ivory Coast, with flat feet standing on a round base, the calves and thighs appear very roundly muscular and give the figure an impression of stockiness, which is also expressed in other parts of the sculpture, the hands touch the abdomen near the navel, the arms are carved close to the body, the upper part of the body is relatively short, there is a pearl necklace above the buttocks and on the hips, there are decorative scars on the back, neck and face, a large head is crowned by a curved coiffure divided into five sections, which also shows damage on the front, hard, heavy wood with age cracks; dark brown patina.
