A rare Dan Toura mask, Ivory Coast, of oval form, full-bodied lips, from which two artificial teeth protrude, beneath a triangular nose with prominent nostrils, framed by cowrie-shell eyes, the forehead striated in vertical manner, on top a raffia coiffure and on the bottom a goatee with strings of raffia; brown to reddish surface, traces of age and ritual use.
