A female Baule from the region Toumodi, Baulé, Ivory Coast, standing on a round base, sturdy legs leading to prominent buttocks, a slender torso with a protruding navel and with small conical-shaped breasts, a sloping shoulders leading to arms attached to the body, the elongated hands resting on the abdomen, the long cylindrical neck supporting an oval head, a mouth with full lips, a broad nose, huge almond-shaped eyes lie beneath the symmetrical arrangement of the semi-circular eyebrows, the carving is distinguished by the large number of decorative scarifications in low relief, the coiffure consists of three braided pigtails that lie close to the head; the surface with remnants of encrustations and signs of sacrifications, several cracks, incl. stand.
